A time travel movie that makes you feel a little dirty after watching it. Impressive though for I have seen so many time travel stories that I thought I had the film figured out down to a tee. Right until the last few moments I almost had it. Damn.
I don’t know how to explain the plot of this film either. It might be faster to just watch the movie but basically it’s about a man trying to stop a terrorist in the past. Throw in a grandfather paradox and you’re just scraping the surface. It’s not your average time travel movie. It won’t give you a satisfying ending because due to the very nature of it there is no ending or beginning. With that said, if you like movies such as ‘Looper‘, ‘Twelve Monkeys’ and enjoyed the Spierig Brothers last movie ‘Daybreakers’ you will probably get something out of this. It’s light on action but the hunger to know more as you watch it gives the movie a lot of momentum. The dialogue too is pretty sharp and isn’t just there for the sake of filling screen time. Two characters just talking in a bar get you interested in the rest of the movie’s story.
As for the Time travel aspects. Well, I’m not touching this one. It’s pretty self explanatory. BUT! There is, I think, an out of this one with the mention of changing dates for the attacks.
Sit back and let this film tickle your mind.
